The time 20 July 2008. The world is at it's strongest, or so it seams. A person in Reykjavik send an email to a friend in New York. The email is simple i.e. "Should we try to make some music together?" This started The Coma Cluster Observation.

We started composing like crasy and the songs piled up. We where searching for something but we where not sure what it was. After a short meeting in the fall, the album concept was clear. It was to be about a civilization 320 million light years away from earth in the Coma Cluster.

In a cluster of clusters there is a solar system with two planets orbiting it's sun. Life has been developing there for ten billion years. The civilization inhibiting those two planets started they're industrial revolution six billion years ago. It goes without saying that they are extremely advanced.

For the past 300 hundred years this civilization has been studying life on earth as we would study a cell through a microscope. They have been observing the industrial revolution on earth in relations to they're own mistakes at the time.

The realization of they're industrial revolution was a grim affair. They were forced to move from they're home planet to they're sister planet cc21. After 500 years of industrial/technological revolution they had to evacuate they're home planet because of gray goo i.e. They had basically rendered they're own home unfit for living because of shit.

As the Coma Cluster story was established the project stated moving along fast, but little did we know that our own world would collapse before our eye's. At this point in the process the band members where located in three separate countries i.e. Reykjavik, New York and Copenhagen. In late September, beginning of October then news hit hard all over the world. Banks collapsed in a spectacular fashion one after the other and the ruling class had no answers to the catastrophe.

In New York angry people rushed out into the streets protesting the greedy bankers and incompetent rulers that allowed this to happen. The anger was only to apparent all over the world. A few days later the entire Icelandic banking system had collapsed in a spectacular way. The crash was so brutal that Iceland was said to have gone bankrupt. For a few days the Icelandic payment system in and out of the country was completely frozen i.e. no one could move money to and from the country. This was a result of the British government placing the entire country under a terrorist law i.e. we had seen the first move in a new economic war.

At the last day of December Iceland boiled over. People rushed out in to the streets to protest the incompetence of the rulers. People where furious because a 300 year old system had crashed completely before their eye's i.e. bureaucracy. The signs say it all.

This album was made in three continents and four countries i.e. America, Europe and Asia, New York, Reykjavik, Kobenhagen and Tokyo. It started on 20 July 2008 and ended on 23 October 2009.
